Woman Dies After Being Trapped Under Float During St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Louisville, Police Say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman died Saturday after becoming trapped beneath a parade float during Louisville’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

The incident occurred during the St. Patrick’s Day parade as crowds gathered along the route to watch the festivities. Police said the woman became caught under one of the floats participating in the parade.

Emergency crews responded immediately and attempted to assist the victim at the scene. Despite those efforts, authorities later confirmed that the woman died as a result of the incident.
